What If More Books Were Turned Into Movies?

I don't know about you guys, but I personally LOVE when books that I've read become movies or tv shows. One of my favorite things to do is compare the book to the show/movie and see what was similar, what was different, and which one I liked more. Usually, I find that I like the book better. It's much easier to include more details in books than it is in movies, which can give the reader a better experience overall than watching a movie can. But, some people like movies better, and that's OK too! 

But what would happen if more books became movies and/or tv shows? Well, it could do one of two things: either encourage people to read more books, or it could discourage people from reading more books. For people like me, who really like to read, it would encourage them to read more books. Personally, I would want to read the book before seeing the movie so that I would be able to compare the two. But for people who don't really enjoy reading, they would probably use it as an opportunity to read less books. If there is already a movie of it that allows them to see the plot, why spend time reading the book as well? 

If you couldn't tell already, I would be ecstatic if more and more books were being turned into movies. I recently heard that Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens will be released as a movie on July 15, 2022. I am so excited about this! I read the book several summers ago, but plan on reading it again before seeing the movie to refresh my memory. I'm curious to know what are your favorite books that have now been turned into movies?
